Salem County: Tragic Loss of Corrections Officer Lucas McDonald

On January 9th, 2013, Salem County Correction Officer Lucas E. McDonald was killed in a single vehicle automobile accident in Harrison Township, Gloucester County.  Officer McDonald ‘s vehicle left the road and struck a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Officer McDonald was 22 years old, and has been a member of the Salem County Sheriff’s Office since July 26th, 2010. Officer McDonald recently graduated from the Camden County College Police Academy for Corrections after successfully completing the 82nd Basic Corrections Recruit Class on November 16th, 2012.
